India offers very good economic opportunities for German companies.

For about three years, Yvonne Julia Metzger headed the Liaison Office Germany of BVMW India, Foreign Trade Department of the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Businesses e.V. and brought together entrepreneurs from various industries as an agent of the Association of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region (BVMW Federal Association of Medium-Sized Businesses, Entrepreneurs Association of Germany e.V.). In 2016, she founded the world's first Indo-German Medical Forum, an association of companies from the medical technology, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

She covered more than 5,000 kilometers across the country on her first trip to India. Afterwards, she conducted several business trips with companies to India, appeared as a keynote speaker at events and managed a large international team for a pharmaceutical company in the north of the country for several weeks. Several years of professional experience abroad, among others at the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce, as well as the almost daily contact with domestic and foreign business partners are strong pillars for her activities until today.

On behalf of the Consulate General of India in Hamburg Yvonne Julia Metzger has published the studySkill India - Scope of Expansion of Vocational Training Partnership between India & Germany. Economic and intercultural opportunities for knowledge & workforce transfer"Right and copyright of the study remain with the Indian government. The study was initiated by the Ministry of External Affairs, Department of Investment & Technology, New Delhi. The publication date is January 2018.

The aim is to fight poverty and promote development through education. In India, for example, there are several projects in which street children and children from the poorest families are given access to education. The focus is on vocational training.
